Kendall Jenner Plans to Leave Modeling and Embrace a Simpler Life in Interior Design
Ohana Magazine – Kendall Jenner has announced her plan to walk away from the fashion spotlight and pursue a more grounded lifestyle. In an interview with Vogue for its October 2025 issue, the 29-year-old supermodel revealed her passion for interior design. Instead of dominating runways, she now dreams of creating beautiful homes.
“I swear, I will quit everything and just design houses. I’m not joking,” Kendall said, quoted by Page Six on Thursday (September 11, 2025).
Living Under Constant Public Attention
Kendall grew up in front of cameras. At just 11 years old, she appeared in the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The series became a global hit and later continued through a Hulu partnership.
Even with its success, Kendall admitted she never enjoyed being part of reality television. “It wasn’t something I really liked,” she confessed. Although she built a career as one of the highest-paid models in the world, she now longs for peace and balance.
Choosing a Simpler and Quieter Lifestyle
Behind her glamorous image, Kendall considers herself a “homebody.” She finds joy in simple routines such as waking up early, wearing sportswear, and living without makeup. “I love my space in LA, but I also deeply value a simpler life,” she explained.
Her passion for horseback riding also allows her to enjoy anonymity. During competitions, she often competes under a different name to avoid recognition. “I enjoy putting on my uniform, helmet, and sunglasses, then competing without anyone knowing who I am,” Kendall shared.
Turning Toward Interior Design
Kendall does not want to over-plan her future, yet her interest in interior design has existed for years. She admitted her fascination with architecture and home design began long before her modeling career. Now, she wants to dedicate herself fully to it.
“I think about the future a lot, but I try not to plan too much. Designing homes makes me feel like I could be truly happy,” she said. With this decision, she seems ready to close one chapter and open another more personal journey.
Finding Strength in Family Support
In a 2024 interview on Emma Chamberlain’s podcast Anything Goes, Kendall reflected on her childhood. She recalled balancing school with family fame, saying, “Even though we had a TV show, we still went to school, had old friends, and that made everything feel normal.”
She also credited her family’s support system for keeping her grounded. “Kylie and I have a lot of stability, a lot of love, and friends who are truly there for us,” Kendall noted. Watching her older siblings handle fame gave her and Kylie guidance as they built their own careers.
