AI Features in Honor Pad 10 and X9a Bring Real-Time Translation to Conversations
Ohana Magazine – In September 2025, Honor launched three new tablets in Indonesia: the Honor Pad 10, Honor Pad X9a, and Honor Pad X7. The Honor Pad 10 and X9a stand out with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tools. These features aim to boost productivity and improve everyday use, especially for communication and digital tasks.
Live Translation for Direct Conversations
One highlight is the Live Translation feature. It allows the Honor Pad 10 and X9a to translate spoken foreign languages, such as Mandarin, into Indonesian instantly. Users no longer need to record or type first. This makes real-time conversations with international speakers easier and more accessible.
Integration Through Honor Notes
The Live Translation tool is available in the Honor Notes app, which comes pre-installed on both models. The feature can be found under the “Record” menu. Besides translation, Honor Notes also supports real-time transcription through Voice-Note Sync. In addition, AI Summary helps users shorten lengthy articles or documents for quicker reading.
Productivity with AI Writing and Handwriting Tools
Honor Notes also includes AI Writing Tools, which assist in drafting documents and articles. Meanwhile, the Handwriting Tools function converts handwritten notes into digital text. These features give students and professionals more flexibility when creating or editing content.
Honor Docs as a Full Productivity Suite
Both tablets also come with Honor Docs, a free productivity app. It supports formats like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF. Users can open, edit, and create documents directly on the device. This makes the Honor Pad 10 and X9a strong alternatives to traditional PCs for work or study.
The Limitations of Honor Pad X7
The Honor Pad X7 does not include these AI features. With a smaller screen and lighter hardware, the device is more suited for casual tasks such as browsing and entertainment. This shows Honor’s effort to target different user needs with each tablet model.
Redefining Tablets as PC Replacements
Frendy Lim, Marketing Campaign Manager at Honor Indonesia, explained that these features turn the tablets into reliable work tools. “With Honor Notes and Honor Docs, we want the Honor Pad 10 and X9a to become not only entertainment devices but also strong partners for productivity,” he said.
