The decision to part ways with the Dutch tactician and bring in the 39-year-old Amorim came after a series of unsatisfactory results at the start of the 2024/2025 season. Under Ten Hag, Bruno Fernandes and his teammates struggled, leaving Manchester United in 14th place in the Premier League table and winless in the Europa League.
